Parent-Directed Home Education
Consistent with the Home Education Regulation, PRSD is proud to support parents who choose to educate their children at home with the ongoing support of a dedicated Home Education Facilitator who is a Alberta certificated teacher.
Your Facilitator meets with you to support you in the development of a home education program that meets your child’s needs and provides ongoing support as often as you wish. Well-versed in, and supportive of, parent-led and child-led approaches, the Home Education Facilitator also organizes a homeschool support network, activities and field trips designed to keep you connected throughout the year.

It is very important that parents complete the Home Education Notification of Intent to Homeschool form as part of their registration with the Peace River School Division. This form ensures that your child is properly registered and allows us to provide the support and resources needed for a successful home education experience.
